As an on-device video editor, MotionCut is designed with your privacy as a top priority. The vast majority of all processing happens locally on your device and never leaves it.

• Media Files: We request access to your device's photos and videos solely to allow you to edit them. These files always remain on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
• AI Subtitle Processing: All speech transcription is performed entirely on-device using local ML models. Your audio data is never transmitted externally.
• Anonymous Crash Reports: We may collect anonymous, non-identifiable crash logs to help us fix bugs and improve app stability.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above exclusively for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and improve the core functionality of the MotionCut app.
• To diagnose and fix technical bugs and crashes.
• To understand general usage trends in an anonymous, aggregated way.

4. Data We Do NOT Collect

We want to be explicit. MotionCut does not:

• Sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.
• Upload your videos, photos, or audio to any server.
• Require account creation or collect any personal identifiers like name or email.
• Display advertisements of any kind.
• Add watermarks to your exported videos.

5. Data Security

Because your media never leaves your device, the security of your files is in your hands. For the minimal anonymous crash data we collect, we implement industry-standard security measures to protect it during transmission and storage.

6. Third-Party Services

MotionCut may use third-party libraries such as crash reporting SDKs. These services have their own privacy policies, which govern the data they independently collect. We ensure any third-party service we use is privacy-respecting and does not access your media.

7. Children's Privacy

MotionCut is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
